Fire is not a transient state
Fire is not just a chemical process
Fire breaths air to live
Fire stretches out for food
Fire consumes all it touches
Fire is as sentient as we are
It is no wonder fire fights us
As often as we try to fight fire….

To generalize about war is like generalizing about peace. Almost everything is true. Almost nothing is true. At its core, perhaps, war is just another name for death, and yet any soldier will tell you, if he tells the truth, that proximity to death brings with it a corresponding proximity to life. After a fire fight, there is always the immense pleasure of aliveness. The trees are alive. The grass, the soil—everything. All around you things are purely living, and you among them, and the aliveness makes you tremble. You feel an intense, out-of-the-skin awareness of your living self—your truest self, the human being you want to be and then become by the force of wanting it. In the midst of evil you want to be a good man. You want decency. You want justice and courtesy and human concord, things you never knew you wanted. There is a kind of largeness to it; a kind of godliness. Though it’s odd, you’re never more alive than when you’re almost dead.
Trigger warning for homophobia, hate speech, violence, and animal cruelty.
OHIO: Eight Horses Burned To Death In Anti-Gay Arson Attack
Joe.My.God. reports:
Eight horses were burned alive in their barn this weekend in an arson attack on a property owned by a gay man. The words “Fags are freaks” were found spray-painted on the side of the barn.
Seven adult horses and one foal died as a result of an arson fire at 874 West Richards Road in McConnelsville just after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. Owner Brent Whitehouse said he woke to discover the barn engulfed in flames and immediately called 911, but it was too late. “I couldn’t get the door open I could still hear the horses kicking and I tried as hard as I could to get them out and I just couldn’t get them out in time,” he said. Those who know Brent believe this was a hate crime, explicit words relating to his sexuality were spray painted in large white letters on the side of the barn before the fire was started. “They obviously don’t know him very well, because he’s a sweet-hearted person and how he lives his lifestyle is nobody’s business but his own,” said friend Bobbie Nelson.Unbelievable.
Despicable.
America is sickening.
…I wanna cry…this…what…
This too shall pass.
Eventually, this world will be populated by educated, aware, and compassionate people of all races, creeds, and ideologies. Hate will die when we allow it die.
The only way to put an end to such inbred hatred is to teach. To learn, and to listen. We are not born with compassion, nor are we born with knowledge. We are all products of what we have been taught, what we have seen, and what we have experienced ourselves. Clearly, somewhere along the way these actions were deemed worthy, acceptable, and expected. Society is as much to blame for this as the individuals who perpetrated the crime.
I can’t wait for that day my brother. Society is a failure. Just as the government in control of it. One day though…One day.

The GLitch Project: A Thought I am Pondering Tonight
Why are people so afraid to die?
I just don’t understand it.
Death has never been frightening to me. In fact, it’s a pretty pleasant idea in my mind. I’m not going to finish up this life any earlier than I’m meant to, but I actually welcome the moment of death.
To me, it’s like a final…
We, are on the same page my brother. Fear of death comes from living an unfulfilled life for some, some just can’t let go of what they have here…Ultimately, death has never scared me. I know what’s waiting for me…I know that my consciousness will continue on eternally. So many hold back what from what they could and should be doing with their lives that the thought of death hurts. They’r scared they have not done enough, seen enough, lived enough. Which is why it is so vital to do your heart has always asked you. To give life your all while you’re here. Leave your mark, leave a legacy. Through love, inspiration…But so many have become robots for this machine which they work for that they will never have the opportunity to realize what this gift was really about.
At Town Hall, Paul Ryan Booed And Heckled For Supporting Corporate Tax Cuts
Last night, during a town hall meeting posted onYouTube, in Kenosha, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), the architect of the GOP plan to end Medicare, came face-to-face with this movement once again. At one point during the meeting, a man who identified himself as a long-time resident outraged about big corporations outsourcing jobs asked why Ryan doesn’t want to tax these companies, getting huge applause from the audience.
Ryan responded by saying that first we should deal with some tax shelters, and the crowd began to shout “Do it first!” Then Ryan started to say that we’re taxing corporations too much, which set off a spree of booing and shouts of “Liar!” Ryan responded by saying that those who are yelling should leave:
CONSTITUENT: I’ve been around this area for quite a long time but once all the factories moved out and there’s no work for our grandchildren or children to get jobs. And if they did have have jobs and those factories were open if you applied a tariff on companies that left, they would come back, or our government could take the money they have and reinvest in the factories that are still here and get apprenticeship programs for people like electricians, pipefitters, plumbers, sheet metal men and put it back to work. You would have the money you need to balance all that. [referring to the budget] (applause from the audience)
RYAN: I agree with the first — I totally agree with that sentiment. First of all the tax system we have is a corrupt system it doesn’t work. It benefits a handful of people and businesses at the expense of everybody else. What I would say is let’s get rid of the tax shelters that let’s some pay get away with paying no taxes –
CONSTITUENT: Do it first! (cheers from audience)
RYAN: Come on, it’s not worth the peanut gallery. Let’s clean up the tax code and lower our tax rates. The reason why I say, the president’s commission said the same thing, we’re taxing our businesses our employers, a lot more than our competitors are taxing theirs –
(Audience boos, hisses)
CONSTITUENT: LIAR!
CONSTITUENT: He’s lying!
RYAN: If you’re yelling I just want to ask you to leave. It’s just not polite.

We told the kids in the ghetto that violence wouldn’t solve their problems. But then they asked me, why does our government use massive doses of violence to try and bring change in the world? And I knew that I could no longer speak against the violence of the ghetto without speaking against the violence of my government.

Introvert misconceptions:
People think that introverts dislike people, hate talking, etc. however this is patently false. Introverts are interested in talking, however rather than external (extroverted) talking about banal issues or gossiping they prefer talking about ideas or getting to know a small group in a deeper, richer manner.
Sometimes I do really dislike people though.
Agreed Daric. I only like them if they are on the level…I try my best to accept others, but they’re just so narrow minded and unprepared that I get frustrated with their shortsightedness.
